2010 Season
Thendara Station lies in the foothills of the Adirondacks
Mountains just south of Old Forge, New York a major destination
in the Adirondack Park. At this station there is a small Railroad Museum
and café for light food. Trains depart going south to Otter Lake
over the photographic trestle at Mc Keever Moose River This ride is about
1 ¼ hours round trip and is a great train for the canoe and rail package.
Paddle down the Moose River and ride the train back. Another train goes north to
a stop that once was known as Carter Station. In the summer season the
Loomis Gang robberies take place here as well as the Woods Walk and bike rides.
The Elf train departing Thendara station in November has become
very popular with lots of Holiday spirit.
